ScribePace ("we", "us", "our") operates the website scribepace.com and the application at app.scribepace.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through our Service. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@scribepace.com.

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account data: your name, email address, and authentication credentials, managed securely by Clerk.
• Profile data: agency name, notification preferences, and Slack webhook URL if you choose to provide them.
• Content data: scripts, workspaces, swipe file items, hooks, comments, and any other content you create within the platform.
• Billing data: subscription plan, billing status, and payment history. We never store your card details — all payment data is handled by Paddle.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, and error logs, collected to improve the Service.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.

We use your data only for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
• To provide, operate, and improve the ScribePace platform
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Paddle
• To send transactional emails such as receipts, password resets, and client review notifications
• To send product updates and feature announcements — only if you opt in
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your content to train AI models. Your scripts are yours.

We work with the following trusted sub-processors to deliver the Service. Each is bound by data processing agreements:

• Clerk — authentication and user identity management
• Supabase — database storage and file hosting
• Paddle — payment processing and subscription management (merchant of record)
• MiniMax — AI text generation for script writing
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech synthesis for the teleprompter feature
• Vercel — application hosting and performance analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With the sub-processors listed above, strictly as necessary to operate the Service
• If required by law, court order, or government authority
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — you will be notified in advance

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g. billing records for tax purposes, which may be retained for up to 7 years).

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: request that we correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: object to certain types of processing
• Withdraw consent: opt out of marketing emails at any time

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in to the Service.

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
• Row-level security (RLS) in our database — users can only access their own data
• Strict access controls and authentication via Clerk
• Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@scribepace.com.

ScribePace is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at privacy@scribepace.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
